I find that to bid on the Elite, or, Pearl cannons one has to bid 5,000,000+ gold pieces. Whoa! So, I am saving my pearls to buy Pearl cannons with. My ship has 4, 5 would make it better. The ship will hold 105 cannons so to make it a full Pearl will take a very long time indeed. However, I have plenty of time on my hands to play the game as I am disabled and it is about all I can do.
