New Map Online

Defend yourself against mighty NPCs and pilots from enemy companies on the new map!

Greetings Space Pilot,

Map 4-5 has been online since Monday. This is a PvP map which can be reached via the x-5 map and entered starting with level 10.

Something really special awaits you on this map: Compete against new SUPER NPCs and fight against these extremely strong opponents. But also defend yourself against other players from enemy companies – get ready to come under severe fire on this new map!

You’ll find further info about this new map and additional updates from the last few days in our forum.

Security tips for your account

Hello Space Pilot,

From time to time, it happens that accounts are stolen; with just a few simple precautions you can protect your password and account. Here are a couple of tips for you:

- Select a password that contains both numbers and letters, and is at least 8 characters long.
- Don’t choose passwords that are easy to guess such as your date of birth, name, etc.
- Change your password on a regular basis.
- Use different passwords at different service companies and providers.
- Install a virus scanner and let this regularly check your system regularly.
- Don’t click on every link you receive.

Remember: We’ll never directly ask you for your password; we don’t need it to be able to help you!

These are just a few tips and tricks – if you follow them, you’ll increase the security level of your Dark Orbit account!

New: Galaxy Gates & the Materializer at DarkOrbit

Jump to unknown galaxies with the galaxy gates and clean up with the materializer!

Hallo Space Pilots,

From the company’s secret research labs spies were able to steal the galaxy gates’ materializer. Nothing like this has ever been seen before in the whole existence of DarkOrbit. With the help of the materializer, you can put together 3 new jump portals for yourself.

You can jump to unknown galaxies with these gates and take on new challenges there. If you master the challenges of a galaxy, you’ll receive awesome rewards!

The first tests show that there are no losses whatsoever if you use the materializer. You can only win: parts for the gates, repair credits, ammunition and Xenomit – and there are no chances of drawing a blank! Face up to the challenge and make a killing in the end!

NEWBIE PROTECTION

What is newbie protection?

Ce système de protection se divise en 2 catégories :

- On the start charts – X-1 – every user up to Level 6 will see their opponents on the mini map marked with an orange square. Only users from enemy companies will be shown with these squares. An NPC will continue to be displayed as usual.

- On the X-1 and X-2 maps all users have a danger display. This is located on the right side of the mini map. If a member of an enemy company jumps onto your map, the danger display rises. That way you can always see how dangerous it is on your map.

The display of enemies in orange boxes is only available on the X-1 maps. The system which displays enemies on X-1 in orange is only applicable up to Level 6. The danger display on X-1 and X-2 is independent of the level.

The time has finally come – the special quests will start right on time on October 3rd! You can accept the last mission on October 5th. All special quests will run exclusively on the European server.
